Firefox has stopped working

I have Firefox 3.5.11 for Opensuse Linux 11.2. This morning I tried to install an add-in and it was not compatible with Firefox. Now, Firefox will not load. I tried to reinstall Firefox through YAST but this did not work. How do I get Firefox working again?

Darrell

open dolphin

then change the settings (using the options at the top) to show ‘hidden files’

then change the name for the .mozilla (note the dot before) folder to say .mozillaold

then start firefox again

I use GNOME desktop. I cannot find Dolphin. Can this be used with GNOME?

Darrell

Sorry I don’t use gnome. But yes the principle is the same - open up a file manager and change the settings to show hidden files and take the same action as suggested above.

…or simply open a console and:

firefox -p

…then create a new profile.
