Please refer to the last 2 posts, hope that helps.

Sorry, I must have missed those posts.

I don’t store any cache.

I have just performed an uninstall and reinstall as outlined in the site you posted. I will see how it goes now.

Thanks,

My flash version is now: 10.0 r22 which is a newer version than I was runing.

Hope this has fixed it, thanks for all the help

Wow, that seems serious :-/

I would…

  1. Open a bug report on Novell’s bugzilla.

  2. Or try with the Adobe’s site flashplayer plugin and check if that works.

Adobe has it’s own version (10.x), not sure if this version plays nice with
openSUSE 10.3 but it is worth a try… IIRC, you only need to put the
downloaded file “libflashplayer.so” under your plugins directory.

Before making any change, make a copy of your original “libflashplayer.so”
file so you can easily restore it at any point.

Greetings,

Glad to hear, that my tutorial has fixed your problem.

Had just the same issues: Firefox 100% hung on youtube tab closing. Also, there was no sound while playing youtube videos.

Solved by installing “swfdec” + “swfdec-browser-plugin”.
Now works seamlesly. Also sound in youtube has appeared.

Before removed flash-player (Suse repo-update) and installed flash plugin from Adobe web-site. No results.
