firefox - gog website - add new message bug - KDE

I login to the GOG games website: gog.com

I click new message and then enter it. I click on post message. In that click icon space, I get overlapping messages, ‘please wait processing…’ and ‘image’. Then 10mins later it’s still stuck. The forum still doesn’t show the message.

I can post elsewhere; I was able to add a few wishes to the wish list.

FYI, I turned off all add-ons and the bug still happens.

As of now, gog won’t let me post, still stalls.

help… ??

Questions:

  • Are you logged in to GoG in order to be able to comment?
  • Are you using an ad blocker? (Using Ublock Origin myself, I sometimes have to make it not block external iframes/scripts)
  • Have you tried it with another browser? (Chromium, SeaMonkey…)?
  • What has KDE to do with it?

Cheers!

Yes, logged in successfully.

I’m using a tracker blocker which I disabled and still can’t post.

Seamonkey works for posting messages. Firefox seems to have a bug.

Not yet, I test it on another browser later.

KDE is the desktop type. Important as reference.

I was able to post my message with seamonkey. Firefox has a bug or something in my settings is causing a problem.

Thanks.

This reminds me of similar problems I had with my YouTube and Reddit accounts. All kinds of features there behaved flaky for me there a few months ago.

My solution: I logged out of YouTube/Google and Reddit with my main browser (SeaMonkey), deleted all cookies related to these sites and logged in again.
That solved it for me. Some cookie info seems to have gotten »stale«, and giving these websites the opportunity to re-create their cookies made them play ball again.
Cheers!

I had to reinstall linux and set firefox configuration. I rechecked my firefox settings. I had missed the block tracking and erase cookies on exit. Once I set those config options and cleared the data and cookies, I was able to post a message with out issues.

Thanks. Problem solved…
