all plays ok in Chromium.

cheers

ooops – please ignore the above

fault finding this morning firefox was started from a terminal and all worked correctly

again tried from a desktop icon and the same symptoms occurred

after deleting the icon and them creating another the icon allowed firefox to run normally

time wasting again?!

cheers

fwiw

after starting firefox from the command line any icon pointing at firefox only works during that session
(allowing videos to be accessed)

after a reboot running firefox from a previously generated icon runs into the problem of flash player not being recognized

cheers
