Not a plea for help for once, just a couple of tips for googlers.
To clone a tab, ie open another tab at the same page as one currently open,
Ctrl-click or middle-click on the reload symbol at the end of the address bar.

If you wish to open a new tab always at a certain page (I always open at google, for instance)
go to
about:config
Ok the warning,
search for the setting:
browser.newtab.url
and put the URL you want in there.
