You are using a different version of Thunderbird. Fix your list of repos according to comment #37 and run again “zypper update”.

Sorry! Spoke too soon. Rebooted to another partition to take a backup image of the openSUSE partition. BThen booted openSUSE again and found that the problems with Thunderbird are back. Think I am going Ga-Ga
Have to give up on Thunderbird I am afraid. Any luck for steelrider?
At least my original problem with Firefox has been solved. Thank you all for the help!
Unfortunately not. Still a lot of problems to use thunderbird & firefox. tunderbird are almost not usable.
Did I get it right, you switched to another repo for mozilla and that help for thunderbird. So you have a newer version than provided by the offical 15.3 repo, correct?
I’ve the same version than in post #37

At the moment all clicks work. Thats fine but for me total confusing.
That what I want, but dont understand why, and don’t trust that this is stable for long time.
I just started firefox from console with argument --safe-mode.
But there was an open instance that was not started with this argument and it also worked. Then I closed all and started firefox & thunderbird again. At the moment all is fine…
Firefox: Everything worked after switching to the Mozilla repo. Am now on version 100.0-lp153.2.1 - post #32
Thunderbird: Also switched to the Mozilla repo, but it did not work - post #32. Then switched back to the openSUSE repo, for version 91.8.0-150200.8.65.1 and it worked! Then rebooted and it did not work. Have gone back and forth between the repositories but cannot get Thunderbird to work again.
