Firefox acting up chrome does not

Since yesterday I suddenly have two issues.
I cant log in to my online mail and some youtube videos are not playing.

Could this be related to this?

guus@localhost:~> firefox

Both issues dont happen on chrome

I have been searching online.

Those errors are probably not the problem.
Some videos play some don’t. copy pasting the link to chrome and the video’s does play.

This is very weird.

Edit:
Disabling add blockers seems to have solved the problem.

Now all vids work again, but more important I can log in to my online mail again.

I managed to narrow down the specific plugin.

addblock ultimate.

Same issue here yet on Chromium. After a while and whenever I try to open the add on application button the browser crashes. Firefox on the other hand works perfectly. Happened after I upgraded my Tumbleweed 2 days ago.

Here is the stack trace from Chromium:

And this is my system:

uname -a
Linux pc-108.home 6.4.6-1-default #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Tue Jul 25 04:42:30 UTC 2023 (55520bc) x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

The problem started for me also after a tumbleweed update, but that seems to be to only part we have in common.

@markman8 Please don’t hijack threads with completely different problems/programs. You don’t get the attention as with your own thread. Btw your problem with Chromium is already reported:

I have a similar problem. When I open a video and rewind it, the video screen freezes, but the audio keep rolling as normal. I have Tumbleweed in two devices and the same problem happens on both.

Please open your own topic. A "similar"problem is not this problem. Don’t make a mess of the forums.

This one was solved and is now closed.
