Why does the Firefox 4 default theme on openSUSE looks so ugly compared to the default them on Windows? And can I get the default windows theme for Firefox on my openSUSE Firefox?

i was at my neighbors house and saw his default Firefox 4 on Win7 and
thought it was the most ugly thing ever invented, ever!
it is SO last century once you put it on windows…

You look at the firefox add-on for themes ? Because my actual theme look like the one in your first picture and it is named : strata reloaded. The style is the same but not the colors though.
Could be that theme. You may have to customize it to your preferences. I have the menu bar deselected. Moved the home and ABP buttons from the far right to where they are now. YMMV.
Right click in the empty space next to the tabs there and select customize, see all the neat things you can add, then just drag and drop the buttons, click done.
The nice thing about defaults is: You can change them

Please define “ugly” and “pretty”…Matter of taste, isn’t it.
Install some gtk-engines and themes to run with them. Then use the KDE systemsettings to set the GTK-engine and theme to be used, you’ll find something to your likings.
Indeed. I probably should have said ‘different’ instead of ‘ugly’ …
But does anyone know why the default theme of the openSUSE Firefox 4 is different, and uses the old fashioned simple icons instead of the modern looking ones that the windows version is using?
This looks very much like the style I was looking for. But I also want the dark colors (or persona if you like). The combination doesn’t seem possible. When I install this theme, and I select a different persona, I also get the default openSUSE icons back…

I do not “know” but an educated guess is that this theme is simply not
compatible with linux. I use also a non standard theme with firefox 4 and
while I searched through the available themes for it I found many which are
windows only.
