Fingerprint-Sensor on Lenovo T460 with Tumbleweed

Hi guys,

is there actual a way to use the fingerprint-sensor on a Lenovo T460 (or any other device) for user-authentication when running openSuse Tumbleweed?

I’ve found some older projects but all of them seem to be out of date. Would be pretty happy if you can give me a hint or some kind of tutorial.

Install “fprintd” and “fingerprint-gui”. The “fprintd” package is in the main Tumbleweed repository.

You can find “fingerprint-gui” by adding this hardware repo to Yast.http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/hardware/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/
