Fingerprint reader in openSUSE 11.1 doesn't work.

Does any one know about fingerprint in HP dv4 to work.
Any idea would be great to start.

fprint is installed but didnot detect the reader.

openSUSE 11.1 32bit.
HP dv4 system.

Thanks in advance.

I am using a ThinkPad x200s which has a finger print reader; Opensuse 11.1 64bit

yast offeres me a dialog to configure the reader, but that ssserts that I do not have a f-reader. (Fingerprint device not available on this system) However lsusb says

Bus 004 Device 002: ID 08ff:2810 AuthenTec, Inc.

and the hardware info shows it as well

I have libfprint0 installed

Not running KDE or Gnome btw.

What is missing?

This might be a little late but according to the installation documentation from a fingerprint driver installation .tar from thinkfinger.sourceforge.net, the Authentec fingerprint reader is not compatible at this time with openSUSE at this time (according to how I read it)
