Looks like my fingerprint in Lenovo Thinkpad R61i didn’t works.
ID number of my device is 147e:2016.
As I can see at this page my fingerprint is supported by libfprint and upeksonly driver.
I have installed libfprint0 0.0.6-11.1 and libfprint0-32bit 0.0.6-8.17 but yast2-fingerprint-reader 2.17.6-1.42 didn’t see my fingerprint device.
Upeksonly driver looks like didn’t exists.
So whats wrong? I needs at more newer libfprint?
Neither this neither install of more newest of pam_fprint or libfprint cant help me to solve problem.
I don’t have a fingerprint reader but You could check if it is seen by the OS at all with running : lspci (as root) and check if it is listed there. That would be my first step.

At http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/dgege/openSUSE_Factory/ are
RPMs for version 1.0.21. I would guess they might work better.

It is a USB device. Running lspci will do nothing - lsusb will show the IDs in
the subject line.
Larry
I dont find 1.0.21 version.
Next info I can see after lsusb output
