If you have 11.0 rc1 installed and running and not seeing any real problems is it necessary to re install the final release?
Would maintaining all the updates be the same?

No need to re-install. Just update your packages and you are good.
That’s good to hear, so it’s just a matter of updating, but that should sort itself automatically.
Don’t you also have to switch repositories from factory to the 11.0 ones?
My current repositories look normal!
Which makes me think that I have the pukker release already? And it’s just a matter of any updates. I have had loads of updates today.

I made clean installs so I’ve got the “factory” repositories. I also would
like to know whether we’ll have to switch repositories.

If your repos are still factory, then just update your sources via repo management. If you scan the repos it will find the 11.0 repos and allow you to enable them, then just delete the factory ones and your all set.
