Hi
SLED10 is equivalent to openSUSE 10.1, I haven’t followed this thread,
but the OP may wish to post over in the novell forums for SLED at
http://forums.novell.com.

Do you happen to know the openSUSE corrolary to the SLED service packs? I looked at overviews of SP1 and SP2; hard from that limited info to match up but if I had to guess SP1=10.2 and SP2=10.3? OP has SP1.

Thx for heads-up on Novell forums. I took a quick look and saw that you’ve been lurking there, too.

Hi
As far as I’m aware it’s pretty much still the 10.1 base with
backports, that being said generally I have found building from source
rpms 10.3 and 10.2 can work if there are no major dependencies. The
search feature (http://software.opensuse.org/search) is also a good
source to find the SLE repositories. And of course
http://www.pcc-services.com/sled10_rpms.html for others
(multimedia/games).

I’ve been running SLED10 as my main OS since 2005 on an AMD 4400X2,
openSUSE (and others) on the notebook

Nice to know, to be honest the first website the computer opened was one of Novell but not the forums and the first link I found was from the openSuse forums, thanks for the link I’ll be checking it
