Files don't want to open !!!

Hi guys,

I’ve a problem with my suse. When I’m working on my suse everything is ok until something goes wrong but I don’t have any idea what is it and all my files don’t want to open.
For example when I want to open some txt file system shows:

KDEinit can’t initiate ‘/usr/bin/kwrite’

After that I have to restart my computer and it’s so annoying 'cos I’m wasting so much time.

What I have to do ?

Well you haven’t given us too many details. Just out of curiosity how much space you got left on /home or / partition?

Yes, probably disk space problem. The next level: you even can log in into your DE - already happened with me.

Thx for reply,

on every partition I’ve minimum 4 GB of free space and 2 GB Swap.
Maybe there is a problem with my ram I’ve only 512 MB and when I look
at sysinfo after restart there is only about 10 MB of free ram + buffers ca 150 Mb.
But I was always thinking that linux has good memory management, I dunno know.

This problem appears always after using my computer to open and manage multiple and often big files.
Or maybe this is problem with tmp files, how can I delete them ?

Linux kernel would free those buffers if it needed more memory for some applications.

Sorry wrong post.

Ok, any ideas what to do ?

I’m pretty sure that someone can help me solve this problem.
