I’m currently on my Suse11.0 hardrive and I use 2 different hardrive one for WindowsXP and my Linux one. Is there a way I can make a partition on this (Linux) one so I can transfer files from my windows to linux? I mean I did read how to do it, but it really didn’t answer my questions. I have alot of files such as music and photos that I need copied over here!

There are a couple ways to transfer files to Linux from windows (when in
windows) when only one system is up at a time. The easiest is to make a
fat32 partition somewhere to use as a go-between.
Going beyond the windows-must-be-up requirement you can also pull files
from windows when you are in Linux as Linux can mount both fat32 as well
as ntfs.
Another alternative, back to running in windows, is to have an ext2
partition along with an ext2 driver for windows, of which one does exist:
Anyway, I’d just pull the files from windows (when booted to Linux) if
it were my call.

agreed…but, Ben do you have something against having both hard
drives in use all the time?
that is, it IS possible to read and write to/from the Windows[tm]
drive while in Linux…
that is, you could listen to music on the Windows[tm] while running
Linux…etc…
