fglrx - Freetype fails to load

I am running 11.2 with the fglrx_02 ATI drivr from the standard repo. Driver seems to run OK.

In looking in /var/log/Xorg.0.log, I see

(II) LoadModule: "freetype"
(WW) Warning, couldn't open module freetype
(II) UnloadModule: "freetype"
(EE) Failed to load module "freetype" (module does not exist, 0)

I have freetype and freetype2 RPMs, both 64 bit and 32 bit, installed.
I see the .so files in /usr/lib64.

Any ideas?

Post your /etc/xorg.conf.

Interesting:

I relocated the PC to it’s normal state, connected HDMI to a DLP HDT, and the freetype load failure no longer appears.

Must have been monitor related, or the power down cycle changed things.

So for now, cannot reproduce.
