fglrx dual graphics

Hello everyone!

I’d like to ask if anyone has any idea how to enable the discrete gpu in a dual graphics AMD laptop? I’ve installed the fglrx drivers from the ‘official repo’ http://geeko.ioda.net/mirror/amd-fglrx/openSUSE_Leap_42.1/, but when I open the Catalyst Control Center (amdcccle), the PowerXpress (the place where you can configure switchabe graphics) option is missing.

I tried switching from the command line using the option

amdconfig --px-dgpu

which says that it will take effect after I restart X, but nothing happens after restart.

Here are some outputs that might prove useful:

amdconfig --lsa

* 0. 00:01.0 AMD Radeon HD 8330
  1. 01:00.0 AMD Radeon HD 8600M Series

* - Default adapter

amdconfig --pxl

PowerXpress: Discrete GPU is active (High-Performance mode).
lspci | grep Radeon

00:01.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Kabini [Radeon HD 8330]
01:00.0 Display controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Sun XT [Radeon HD 8670A/8670M/8690M / R5 M330] (rev ff)

According to

amdconfig --pxl

the discrete gpu is active; if so, how could I check if it is actually activated during, let’s say, playing a game?

Thank you all in advance!
