I tried to download a youtube video with the firefox addon “downloadhelper” but was told that a converter is needed. According to the addon help page, I need to install *Libav.
*But I guess I have them installed already when I chekced with “zypper se libav”?
ffmpeg
But if you are interested. QMPlay2 might be of interest to you

Only if you request the downloader to change the format of the video or
audio. You may leave it untouched.

Thank you caf. I tried QMPLAY2 first but had some problem with it. I installed ffmpeg now the addon works fine.
That’s what I thought. But in fact I didn’t try to convert at all it still refuses to download. So it seems ffmpeg is a must in my case.

Then try another downloader
Maybe the code checks for the existence of all dependencies even if it
is not going to use them.
