Hello,people!I am a user of openSuse v11.0 not very long time.and I have for you few questions.
1)what ICQ client able to transfer files?As a example,kopete can not recive files from QIP users.
2)I launch Google talk via wine,but he don’t want to connect.
3)how I can launch game,for example Heroes of might and magic via wine.wine give me error “Bad exe file”

sorry for my english,because I live in Ukraine.and reading of unnofficial forums don’t give me useful information at this questions

I might have the solution to one of your problems.

  1. You can use kopete as as a chat client for Google Talk. I did this a while back so I don’t know if it still works, but I do recommend it. You can follow the tutorial from google located here.

Not sure if this will be much help or not but worth a try; whenever you install an application through wine, it will create a shortcut on your desktop which you can click and it will run the game.

“bad exe” sounds a little like it’s either a corrupt install file, or it’s been hacked. Without wanting to push you away from this forum (which is an infinate source of knowledge), have you looked for the game at the official wine “app db”?

Click APP DB then do a search for your game.
