Hi,
I have upgraded from OpenSuse 11.3 to 11.4 with DVD installation (upgrade)
after trying Failsafe – Opensuse 11.4 - 2.6.37.1-1.2
Computer lock after boot last row of messages is:
fb conflicting fb hw usage nouveaufb vs VESA VGA - removing generic driver
Help!

Hi,

First thing : did you check the integrity of your ISO image ?

If you did it, try booting with the nomodeset paramater as in this : SDB:Configuring graphics cards - openSUSE

After that, install the proprietary driver for your nvidia card and reboot to see if you have the same error.
