fast boot....

I recently just set up a tripleboot w/ win7, opensuse, and ubuntu 10.4

something that I have not seen before, and please remember i’m new (ish)…

is, “fast boot”

whenever I boot into 11.3, it shows that its doing a “fast boot”…

is there a difference between a fast boot and a “regular?” boot, whereas it does not say its initiating a “fast boot”

?

Not sure, did Internet search and it would appear it’s just a message telling you that it is an improvement resulting in faster boot over previous versions, although the sites I visited only say *faster boot *faster screen switching etc.

You see that in the verbose output when booting SUSE from Ubuntu’s grub2
Just be happy it boots. I don’t have any specific info either.
