Failed to start Load Kernel Modules

Hello,

since my last ‘zypper up’ my machine running Leap is not booting anymore. I get the errors ‘Failed to start Load Kernel Modules’ and a little later I get ‘Failed to mount /sysroot’.
I tried to start with the option ‘rd.shell’ but once this error shows up I can not do anything but hit the off button.
What I can do is boot the pre.zypper snapshot. (Which mounts root as read-only.)
Any ideas on what I could do?

When you boot and the GRUB screen appears, try selecting “Advanced” and select one of your older kernels.
Once you successfully boot, you can try updating again.
