i upgrade my os from 12.1 (with gnome desktop) to 12.2 with this command:
zypper dup
after upgrade, when i restarted computer and tried to load openSuse 12.2 i saw a graphical openSuse loader (opensuse logo + some shiny things around) and then after load, i saw some texts that says something like this:
and so on.
when checking has finished, i saw shell login manager that required my username and password (from shell) instead of showing gdm or kdm to login in gnome or kde and graphical sessions.
i just can use commands now
I get that too, if you haven’t noticed any other issues it is probably normal. Perhaps system is just report a service that is not starting for some reason. It might not even be a problem. Knowing the names of the services would help.

That still isn’t telling us what video hardware you’re using or what
driver you’ve installed. Those are /critical/ pieces of information that
are necessary to diagnosing this issue.
It would also be useful to know how you installed the driver, if you
installed a proprietary driver.
