Failed to Detect CD Drive - openSUSE 10.3 Live KDE

Hi,

I’ve been trying to install openSUSE 10.3 on my old laptop via the Live KDE CD. The kernel loads with no problem, but after a while (still in text-based enviroment) it will say:

“Failed to detect CD Drive
RebootException
Something about rebooting in 60 seconds”

Note I am using the only CD drive with the live CD in it.
I have tried passing kernel configurations including:

noacpi
acpi=noirq
acpi=off

None of these worked (and probably have nothing to do with my problem). I searched Google and this forum, but nothing seemed to be resolved or applicable to my situation.

My laptop is an old Toshiba Satellite 1730.

Do you have a USB flash drive you can use instead? (1GB+)?

Are you wanting to try it, or just install it?
