Failed 15.5 installation

Downloaded ISO. Verified with SHA256sum.

Used dd to write it to a USB which then booted. It reported that a boot image is needed and I approved downloading and restart. It showed it was downloading download.opensuse.org/distribution/ then I got a black screen and my HD light showed activity. Waited for 20 minutes but nothing changed.
What did I do wrong?

I installed using the DVD iso. And all went well.

You have not indicated which iso you used. I’m guessing that it was the NET iso, and others have reported problems with that.

Yes indeed it’s the NET .iso. My error in not reporting that.
