Factory or Upstream for latest KDE ?

Hi

I have read the information on SDB:KDE upgrade but I still can’t work out which is the best to get the most stable version of KDE 4.6.3 for 11.4 factory or upstream ?

Thanks

If you want stability then go for the opensuse kde46 repository, it is made for
that case where you do not want to go for factory (unstable).

Installation (zypper):

KDE-Repo with Alias:

su -
zypper ar -f "http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Release:/46/openSUSE_11.4/" "KDE_4.6"

Increase priority of KDE-Repo:

zypper mr -p 50 "KDE_4.6"

Perform upgrade for KDE:

zypper dup --from "KDE_4.6"

Reboot

PC: oS 11.3 64 bit | Intel Core2 Quad Q8300@2.50GHz | KDE 4.6.3 | GeForce 9600 GT | 4GB Ram
Eee PC 1201n: oS 11.4 64 bit | Intel Atom 330@1.60GHz | KDE 4.6.0 | nVidia ION | 3GB Ram

Thanks. It’s very unclear which one is preferable in the documentation.

All upgraded to 4.6.3 now
