f-spot not functioning

Hello!

I currently use suse 11.0 on Fujitsu Simens Amilo Xi2550. Works fine, laptop is fully supported. Allthough i have tried to install suse 11.1, and everything works like a charm, until i have installed ati radeon hd2600 drivers with opengl mode. Funny, then again anny app works great until f-spot ( without it i can’t live :), i use it allot!!! Have tried old drivers and allso command xgl-switch --enable-xgl. Doesn’t help. on suse 11.0 works great…

Anny suggestions? can i override graphics settings for f-spot only?

Thank you all for suggestions!!!

getting this myself:

shawn@linux-80bs:~> f-spot
[Info 14:02:29.559] Initializing DBus
[Info 14:02:29.656] Initializing Mono.Addins
[Info 14:02:29.799] Starting new FSpot server

(f-spot:23667): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_window_resize: assertion `width > 0’ failed
The program ‘f-spot’ received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was ‘BadRequest (invalid request code or no such operation)’.
(Details: serial 328 error_code 1 request_code 143 minor_code 19)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

I have over 60k pictures to categorize and this is not good.

After an hour of searching, I found this:

Crash happens only if I use radeon or radeonhd drivers.
Using fglrx driver, f-spot works perfectly.

Good news All, i have observed when new ati driver released and installed then suse 11.1. driverks works good, fspot is functionning agan!!!

My driver is:

ati-driver-installer-9-1-x86.x86_64

thanks for the tip, but the new driver doesnt make anny problems now.
