I am trying to setup three heads on my HD 5870. I have followed instructions found by others across the net for Windows to allow the config to work with 2-DVI and one DisplayPort (DP) connection with an approved/tested active and passive adapter for DP to HDMI or DP to DVI. This process has failed to allow the third screen to work.
Has anyone done this with openSuSE 11.3 x86-64?
When I activate the third screen there are no errors but after a reboot the third screen is not active. Returning to amdcccle there is a popup message that the software had deactivated a screen. Once in a while after the first failure going into amdcccle and trying to activate the third screen the it fails due to an unknown error or not enough video memory.
My system is XFX HD 5870 1GB
2 - DVI
1 - DP to DVI
all screens 24" with 1920x1200 resolution
