Opensuse v11.1
I just hooked up my linux machine to the receiver in my living room because I wanted to play around with mpd and the MPoD app for iphone. After installing MPD (and also the simple mpc client), I tested it out, but compared to every other device plugged into the receiver the audio is wayyy quiet.
I have played youtube videos for sound comparison, and the audio is just as quiet, so i do not think it is specific to MPD.
Every place I can think to check audio settings on the system says it is playing at 100%.
It has been a while since i’ve cared about audio coming out of this machine, but I certainly don’t remember it being this quiet before.
Here is the information requested in the sticky for this forum:

My familiarity with linux doesnt really extend to audio hardware or really anything audio related at all, so any help would be much appreciated.
Please let me know if there is any more info I can provide.
Thanks!
