I’m trying to write to my external dvd writer on a blank single layer dvd, and brasero sees it as only having 850mb free. Of course the dvd is completely blank and new, but writing anything over 850mb is impossible…
So, how can fix this?

Hi
Look again, it shows how much will be left on the DVD after burning
You might also click properties and set the speed to the slowest possible for a good burn.
It ejects the disc and tells me there is not enough space on the media. If it does not eject the disc it fails after a few seconds making coasters as it goes.
I guess I should ask in the Ubuntu forums
Hi
If it might yield an answer, why not
With the device plugged in and you blank dvd inserted, what’s the
output from
/usr/sbin/hwinfo --cdrom
