external usb 5 gig limit

Hello.
I need to find a way to save some iso files (movies) into a new purchased usb hard drive.
When i go to transfer the iso files it fails at 5 gig.
The files are 7 - 8 gigs.
How can i do this.

This is because the external drive is formatted to FAT32 probably. This windows file system is hopeless. You need to either format the whole drive or partition it and create a new partition by shrinking the current one.
Use either ntfs (if you need to access this new partition from windows as well) or ext3.

Yeah, i’ve ran into this problem with my Monolith-500gb external. Problem is, i already have all my stuff backed on to it, plus some stuff that i don’t store on my main computer, so formatting it again under NTFS would be impractical and i don’t even know if vista’ll read EXT.
