I’m trying to use an external monitor on my laptop with opensuse 10.3. The monitor works just as soon as I plug it in, but the dimensions are wrong (the bottom and right side are off the viewable area). My monitor is a Dell SP2008WFP, my laptop is a Dell B130 with Intel 915GM graphics. I’ve adjusted the settings in “Graphics Card and Monitor” to get it to recognize the monitor, change the size and resolution and get the message that the settings will take effect the next time I restart the graphics system. I restarted the computer, but no change.
