Decided to try Evolution again to remind myself why I didn’t use it.
One problem that has hit me straight off is that “mark all as read” on
a folder other than “inbox” just does nothing. The application isn’t
otherwise adversely affected.
I set up an NNTP account and subscribed to just one newsgroup with only
4 posts in it. I right-clicked on the group, selected “mark all as
read”. Hours later, the bar at the bottom still says “marking messages
as read”.
Any thoughts as to why this is happening? I’ve tried destroying all old
evolution folders - took a while, until I found that one is not stored
under my user directory but in /home - so as to get a clean start but
that behaved the same.
