Apologies for raising this again; I thought the problem was solved; it isn’t.
Using Evolution 2.22.1.1 with OpenSuSE 11.0.I have no problems sending and receiving email. But I cannot access and subscribe to newsgroups. I am asked to supply an NNTP password, which my ISP assures me is the same as the associated email login password. But even though I am using a valid password, I repeatedly receive a 502 ‘authentication failed’ message when attempting to access the news groups.
But if I news Claws Mail or Thunderbird (in Windows) there is no problem with accessing and subscribing to news groups with the same email password.
What configuration parameter am I setting incorrectly?
