Evolution encryption error

KDE Plasma 5.27.11
Kernel vers 6.4.0-150600.23.53-default (64bit)

I’m getting this error when preparing an email in Evolution.

“Failed to encrypt: Invalid recipient me@mybox.com specified. A common issue is that the gpg2 doesn’t have imported public key for this recipient.”

I’ve been reading links regarding this but all are old and/or not Leap related or very convoluted answers which for me may as well be written in Latin. I learned nothing really.

I can only send mail from Evolution unencrypted. yikes.
I went through YaST and updated everything I could find related to gpg, no help.

I did find this command to execute.
But I don’t know if this is helpful.

UserMe@localhost:~> gpg2 --list-keys
/home/UserMe/.gnupg/pubring.kbx

I did find the .kbx file but it’s obviously not a text file.

Thanks in advance for the community’s guidance.

Just for your next posts.

Please, to make the pieces of computer code in your posts better consumable by technical oriented people:

And post as complete as possible. That is starting with the line with the prompt and the command, then all output, and ending with the new prompt line.
When you really feel you need to change anything in such a copy, then explain that in a comment, else we take all characters literally.

Yes, that is the command to check if gpg2 does have an imported public key for the recipient, based on your output it seems that is not the case.

Probably it is good to read an introduction on this:
