I used Evolution Email to send some messages, and when I checked at Yahoo! mail they do not appear there in the Inbox. How can this problem be corrected?

Could be many reasons. First, make sure that the Yahoo Spam blocker didn’t block them. Next, open Evolution. Go to Edit → preferences. Click on your e-mail account and then click “edit”.
Go to the "Sending Email tab. Verify all the settings. You may have to call your internet provider to ask what they should be. I would guess that you should check the “Server requires authentication” box. Your “user name” may have to be your complete e-mail address. You can also check the “remember password” box if you like, unless you want to enter your password every time you send or receive mail.
One last thing to verify is the the firewall is not set to block POP and SMTP connections.
