eth0

I started the pc (acer aspire one ( netbook )) with openSuSE 11.1 )
and I have eth0 down.
Typing ‘rcnetwork restart’ I have

"no configuration found for eth0 "

I tried to see in Yast2 but it says that Network configuration is
managed from “Network Manager” and I can’t change configuration from
Yast2, I have to do it from network manager editor.
tried executing

knetworkmanager

or

knetworkmanager &

but nothing happens
with ‘dmesg | grep eth’ I have

" eth0: …( the manufature’s name and mac address )
r8169: eth0: link up "

What to do ??

Is this kde3 or kde4
and have you checked to see if the necessary network packages are installed?

kde4. I installed 11.1 one week ago, everything was fine until yesterday
