/etc/fstab

Just upgraded to 12.3. Unable to access cdrom as there is no fstab. Simple question from a loggerhead - how do I do it? Listing hardware shows it is detected and provides all information about the drive. >:(

CDs are supposed to be automounted today, at least under major DE (KDE, GNOME). What are you using?

CD is removable so it is not in the fstab. You just get notified if you put a CD in. From what version did you upgrade from?

Handled dynamically by udev and the desktop notifiers (and has been for years). Which DE are you using?

An online upgrade (zypper dup) does not support a jump that large. An
oflline upgrade might, but you need extra steps.

Online upgrade

Offline upgrade

openSUSE 12.3 Release Notes

KDE3 has its own mail list, I believe.
