espeak, speech-dispatcher and KMouth

Guru’s,

I have installed espeak,speech-dispatcher. Configured it and ran the following tests:

The first two sound dutch, the 3th and 4th sound english and the last one sounds dutch.
I concluded that the configuration was good.

I installed KMouth, but what ever I do it always sounds South-African. Different from any of the above. Even if I set the command to /bin/ls I keep getting my South-African friend.

Anybody any clue on how to make sure KMouth uses spd-say (so it wil sound dutch). An alternative for KMouth is also welcome
