Error when printing - Epson Stylus C110

Hi,

I’m new to Opensuse (64bits). I installed it some days ago, but can make my Epson Stylus C110 work properly. It’s recognized, installed but when I try to print a Page Test I get the following error:

epsonstylusc110-46 root 17408 Tue May 18 00:30:19 2010
printer epsonstylusc110 is idle. enabled since Tue May 18 00:30:20 2010
Unable to find Gutenprint driver named “Epson Stylus C110”!

Guttenprint is installed (CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.5).

Opensuse is 64bits.

How could I fix this?

Thanks.

Check this thread out.

In particular, user familytyler mentions the use of symbolic links, required to use the 32-bit driver within a 64-bit CUPS environment. I’m not saying this is the same issue as yours, but might be worth looking at given the errors you are getting.

Why dont you try Avasys drivers for Epson printers?
