I get this error when I start gvim:

Press ENTER or type command to continue
Has anyone seen this problem? Any workarounds available?

Could you tell us a bit more?
Which version of openSUSE you have?
Which version of gvim you have?
If you use KDE or GNOME?

Maybe you can try to rename your .gvimrc and try to start gvim.
