error screen in grub when booting in hyper-v on windows 8

Hi everyone

When I try to boot up the opensuse 12.3 KDE Live CD on Hyper-V Windows 8, I get a weird error screen in the top left corner of grub

What you see is not grub, I think it is syslinux that is used as bootloader on DVD.

ok. so why would syslinux do that?
