i haw a qps usb hdd a i haw not usually any problems you sing it but the last days it has fails, i get these error is there a suggestion to a seclusion.

the requested operation has failed:
Error mounting /dev/sdb1 at /run/media/hans/QPS! 250GB:
Command-line `mount -t "ntfs" -o "uhelper=udisks2,nodev,nosuid,uid=1000,gid=100,dmask=0077,fmask=0177"
"/dev/sdb1" "/run/media/hans/QPS! 250GB"' exited with non-zero exit status 14: The disk contains an unclean file system (0, 0).
Metadata kept in Windows cache, refused to mount. Failed to mount '/dev/sdb1':
Operation not permitted The NTFS partition is in an unsafe state.
Please resume and shutdown Windows fully (no hibernation or fast restarting),
or mount the volume read-only with the 'ro' mount option.

It means that your non-Linux file system (NTFS) was not properly closed and removed when it was last time used in a Windows system. So connect it again to that (or a) Windows system and do a save remove there. That most often helps.

If it’s Win8, you must shutdown fully
By default it doesn’t !
Google it
It’s a crazy windows issue and a pain in the rear
