Error loading operating system. openSUSE not installing properly?

Ok, so I have a 2001 compaq presario computer. AMD Athlon XP 2100+, 480Mb RAM, 80Gb HDD. It has a CD and a DVD drive.
It’ll boot from the KDE LiveCD but not from the openSUSE DVD v11.4 and v12.1

So using the LiveCD, I installed openSUSE. I formated the HDD so that I’d only be running off Linux. No windows at all. It does that properly, but at the end of the installation YaST tells me I should boot without the LiveCD. It gives me the option of “Reboot Now” or “Reboot Later”. If I do now, the computer restarts, I remove the disc quickly, and then it says “Error loading operating system_”. I know that windows isn’t installed anymore, but shouldn’t openSUSE be installed? I’ve tried way too much and I’m just burnt out and frustrated now. Honestly, openSUSE looks like a great OS, and I’d hate it if I couldn’t run it because my old-as-hell computer.

Thank you
