error: "... is not allowed anymore in SuSE Linux"

Hi,

I’m trying to create packages for the open source rally racing game “trigger” (SourceForge.net: Trigger).
It builds and work fine for openSUSE 10.3 and 11.0, but for 11.1 I get the following error:

... checking filelist
trigger-rally: "/usr/share/trigger-rally/vehicles/seat/seat.vehicle.orig" is not allowed anymore in SuSE Linux.

What does it mean ?

.orig files are no longer allowed to be included in packages.

I am sure the question was what it means, not what it says.

so what is an orig file , what is it’s purpose, why is it not allowed anymore ??
