Error In Install -- No Repositories Found.

Well, I’m trying to install v11 RC1, and when it asks for the medium, I select CD (or whatever it is), obviously, because the OS is on the disc (it’s a DVD, but whatever).

It then goes through a thing to start up the installation, and then a red dialog box comes up and says that no repositories are found.

What can I do to remedy this situation?
Thanks =]

Can I please get a bit of help here?
I’m very anxious to try this out.

It sounds to me like the repo index is pooched on your media. Did you
verify the md5sum of the media before burning it? Any glitches while
burning? If so, try
‘dd if=/dev/$dev_to_cdrom/dvdrom bs=2k count=$(($(isosize /dev/hda)/2048)) |
md5sum’ and verify that against the md5 on the download site.

HTH!

Ah, for some reason I’d not even thought of checking the MD5. Thanks =]

But where can I find the MD5? I downloded it from here.

Try http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.0-RC1/iso/ .

Well, that’s off.

I just got finished downloading the KDE4 LiveCD. I’ll check the hash on that, and if it matches I’ll just install with that (you can install with the live CD, right?)

Did you ever get this verified and working? I just tried a fresh install on
my Dell Latitude D610 from DVD, and I get the same error now. I’ve
verified the md5sum, but no good mojo…

Never mind. I verified the md5sum on the physical medium and even through
k3b said it completed successfully, the md5’s don’t match. :frowning:
