Error from Updater Applet

Hi, I am new at Suse, I had some background in debian but that was 20 years ago. I have a dual boot with Windows 7 and Suses 11.3 in my notebook. When I got to install suse and tried to update it using YaST I am always getting this error:

PackageKit Error repo-not-available: File ‘/repodata/repomd.xml’ not found on medium ‘http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.3/repo/non-oss/

I know I can skip the autorefresh, but is there any other way?

Thanks for the help.

Newbie.

This repository is normally automatically added for you, so there is no reason to add it in again. If you removed it for some reason and want to add it back in, then uncheck the Download Repository Description Files.

Thank You,

You can try, in yast, “software repositories” management, to remove and add
it again. If that doesn’t work, then post here the result of “zypper lr
–details” between code tags. The code tags part is crucial, don’t forget
(howtos section).
