Error boot "creating device nodes with udev"

Hello,

I’m using Opensuse 12.3 for a couple of months. Yeasterday I was working on Libreoffice and an error occured it was not possible to save my file anymore. So I decided to reboot it.

It boots normally until I receive the message :
"doing fast boot
Creating device nodes with udev
Welcome to emergency mode! After logging… "

I have tried to make a USB Live Stick but it doesn’t run.

I would like to recover my data.

Do you have any idea to solve my problem?

It’s a bit hard to guess the problem. It might be hardware related.

I suggest that you try booting live media (such as the live rescue CD). If that boot fine, then run some tests on your hard drive to see if there’s a failure there.
