Error accessing systemtap module preloadtrace

Hello.

Few weeks ago I had to kill something from virtual terminal (X or some fullscreen game frozen, I don’t remember well). I switched to VT1 (Ctrl-Alt-F1) and saw strange message near login prompt:

linux-n88a login: Error accessing systemtap module preloadtrace: Operation not permitted

linux-n88a is my hostname (automatically chosen by installer, I still wonder what’s n88a).

I googled what is systemtap and found this sourceware.org/systemtap . It’s some module for gathering information about linux box (but I haven’t time to deep more into it yet). Now I’m somewhat scared.

I want to ask what could cause this message and what should I investigate?

Thank you.
