Error 22: Can't install GRUB

I have wiped my machine’s hard drive clean, and am doing my first openSUSE install. I am doinga complete install.

It goes all the way thru the install process as expected, but at the very end when it is about to install the GRUB, it errors out:

Error 22: Can’t install GRUB

I think it may partitioning issue? I took the default partitions offered by the installer.

Try this: boot off the dvd and a few screens in is the option to “other” → boot installed systemm. See if that carries you forward. Then if it does, when all is finished, goto Yast → system → partitioner → other → propose new configuration → wait for timer to stop → boot loader configuration TAB → X in the “boot from the MBR”

That’s a chance
